#OOTD for the (Unofficial) Last Day of Summer

Sept. 8 OOTDToday saw yet another heat warning in the Greater Toronto Area.  In the same breath as warning me about heat exhaustion, the Weather Network noted that a cold front is on it’s way, “bringing an end to the hot and humid weather.”

Translation: “Summer ends tonight.  Last chance for bare legs and bright florals.”

This outfit is a swan’s song to summer; these pieces will not be making the transition to my fall capsule.

Floral skirt by I.N.C Internationals (similar style available here).  Black top is an old favourite who’s origins I’ve long forgotten (I adore the sleeve ruching and can’t say goodbye, even though I’m always cutting off loose threads).  Fuchsia pumps by Guess, also worn in this recent Outfit of the Day post (similar style available here).

The hint of a tan is courtesy of the quickly ending summer.  It will be replaced in my Fall capsule with splotchy, near translucent skin.
